The Massachusetts Institute of Technology defeated a discrimination lawsuit from a Jewish advocacy legal group and two students after a federal appeals court held Tuesday that their suit was rightly dismissed.
MIT joins other private universities, such as the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Southern California, that have escaped suits alleging antisemitism in the wake of pro-Palestinian protests across campuses. Columbia University reached a $221 million settlement with the Trump administration over similar allegations while Harvard University faces a related suit from a Jewish former student.
