Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton promised to “act more like Ted Cruz” if he is elected to the Senate as he laid into Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), his opponent in a May runoff.
Paxton, who was the keynote speaker at the Conservative Political Action Conference’s Ronald Reagan dinner Friday night outside Dallas, promised a room full of supporters he would fight for Texas values over Washington interests. Paxton painted himself as a tested conservative who would bring fresh perspective to the upper chamber.
