Tax Info Request Won’t Impact Ongoing Suit Over DOGE IRS Access

The IRS can fulfill a request for corporate taxpayer information from US Customs and Border Protection without disrupting an ongoing lawsuit about data disclosure, a D.C. federal judge said.

Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly said in a minute order the IRS’ disclosure of the CBP request for corporate tax information related to an undisclosed business “does not appear to implicate the issues before the Court.” The IRS revealed the request in an Oct. 23 brief but said it did not involve individual taxpayer information; it hasn’t yet complied with the request.
