Stroock Restructuring Unit Adds Six Attorneys After March Exodus

Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP has hired six restructuring attorneys from Luskin, Stern & Eisler LLP in New York, growing its restructuring and bankruptcy law practice after dozens left to join Paul Hastings LLP earlier this year.

The incoming team of four partners, one senior counsel and one associate has represented financial institutions in restructurings, transactions and litigation in the US and overseas, Stroock said in a statement Monday. As part of the move, incoming partner Richard Stern will become co-chair of Stroock’s restructuring and bankruptcy group alongside current practice group leader Jeffrey S. Lowenthal, the firm said.
