Steptoe Securities Enforcement Group Co-Head Jumps to Cadwalader

Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft has hired Philip Khinda away from Steptoe & Johnson, where he led the corporate governance practice and was co-head of the securities enforcement practice.

Khinda will join the firm’s white-collar and investigations practice, splitting his time between New York and the nation’s capital.

Washington is slated to loom large in the securities area in the next few years as the Biden administration, with Gary Gensler as SEC chairman, is projected to increase enforcement. Big Law firms have been positioning themselves accordingly with new hires.
