Steptoe Hires Hogan Lovells Partner for DC Compliance Team

Shelita Stewart joined Steptoe as a partner in its investigations, white collar defense and compliance group in Washington, DC, the firm announced Tuesday.

Stewart advises global companies on compliance counseling, government enforcement matters, and internal investigations. Her practice focuses on helping companies anticipate, manage, and respond to regulatory risk, including matters involving the False Claims Act, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, as well as privacy and data governance, Federal Trade Commission compliance, and statutory and regulatory issues arising from emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, the firm said.

She joins from Hogan Lovells.
