SouthBank Legal Adds Former DOJ Tax Leader Ugolini as Partner

Francesca Ugolini joined SouthBank Legal as a partner in its tax controversy practice in Washington, DC, the firm announced Friday.

Ugolini will focus her practice on federal tax advising and disputes, bringing more than two decades of experience at the Department of Justice representing the US in hundreds of tax cases, the firm said.

She led a team of more than 40 attorneys responsible for all civil tax litigation in federal and state appellate courts and worked closely with the US Solicitor General’s office on Supreme Court cases, the firm said.
