SXSW LLC, which puts on the South by Southwest festival each year, has hired J. Carlos Kuri to be its new general counsel.
Kuri spent the past year as chief legal officer for Heineken USA Inc., a unit of the Dutch brewery giant. At SWSW, he succeeds Heather VanDyke, who in August said she would step down from the Austin, Texas-based company to start a family.
