Skadden Taps Gonzalez-Sussman as M&A Partner, Shareholder Head

Elizabeth Gonzalez-Sussman joined Skadden as a partner in the mergers and acquisitions group and head of shareholder engagement and activism, the firm announced Thursday.

Gonzalez-Sussman will advise clients on how to anticipate, prepare for, respond to and defend against activist campaigns. She will also represent companies on the full range of shareholder engagement and activism matters, including in connection with shareholder proposals, proxy contests, withhold campaigns, consent solicitations, stock accumulations and unsolicited acquisition proposals, the firm said.
