Skadden Recruits Former Antitrust Section Chief as Partner in DC

James Fredricks has joined Skadden as a partner with the antitrust and competition group in Washington, D.C., the firm said Monday.

Fredricks served as the chief of the Washington Criminal II Section of the Antitrust Division at the Department of Justice as well as assistant chief of the division’s Appellate Section, according to Skadden.

Fredricks will counsel and defend clients in antitrust investigations and prosecutions, Skadden said. He will also work on other complex, multijurisdictional actions brought by government enforcers related to price fixing, bid rigging, market allocations, no-poach agreements, algorithmic pricing, and criminal monopolization.
