Deborah Kirk joined Skadden as a partner and head of the firm’s intellectual property and technology transactions practice in London, the firm announced Monday.

Kirk advises financial sponsors and companies at various stages of development on intellectual property and technology issues, the firm said. Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, emerging companies, and finance matters, with a focus on e-commerce and consumer brands.

She also provides strategic advice on early disputes, IP ownership issues, data privacy, and branding strategies.
