Sirius XM’s Top Lawyer, a Top-Earning Media GC, Is Leaving

Sirius XM Holdings Inc., the satellite radio giant, disclosed Friday that its longtime general counsel Patrick Donnelly is retiring.

Donnelly, who has been one of the best-paid legal bosses in media, will in April transition to a part-time advisory role through the end of the year, according to a securities filing by Sirius, which said it will “hire a new officer to assume his duties and responsibilities.” The company declined to discuss who might succeed him, and Donnelly didn’t respond to a request for comment.
