Simpson Thacher Recruits Jared Wilner to Lead Insurance Team

Jared Wilner joined Simpson Thacher & Bartlett as a partner in its mergers and acquisitions practice, where he will lead the firm’s insurance transactional and regulatory team, the firm announced Thursday.

Wilner advises domestic and international insurers, reinsurers, intermediaries and other industry participants on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, reinsurance transactions, insurtech and insurance product development. His work spans related regulatory compliance and corporate governance issues, as well as bespoke structures designed to meet the needs of insurers and asset managers, the firm said.

He joins from Mayer Brown, according to his LinkedIn profile.
