Simpson Thacher Expands New York Restructuring With Elkin Hire

Jordan Elkin joined Simpson Thacher & Bartlett as a partner in its restructuring practice in New York, the firm announced Wednesday.

Elkin advises public and private companies, sponsors and their portfolio companies, and lenders in connection with in-court and out-of-court restructurings, including chapter 11 proceedings. He counsels clients across various industry sectors, including technology, energy, transportation, healthcare, consumer and retail, and provides strategic guidance on liability management transactions and distressed acquisitions and divestitures, the firm said.

He joins from Kirkland & Ellis, according to his LinkedIn profile.
