Simpson Thacher Brings On James Rapp as Public Company Partner

James Rapp rejoined Simpson Thacher as a partner in the public company advisory practice in New York, the firm announced Thursday.

Rapp advises private equity firms, hedge funds, issuers, investors, and public company officers and directors on general corporate and securities law matters, the firm said.

His practice is particularly focused on compliance and reporting under Section 16 and Section 13(d) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and Rule 144 of the Securities Act of 1933, including structuring transactions and developing related disclosure strategies in relation to acquisitions, investments, trading strategies, initial public offerings, transactions by officers and directors, ...
