Simpson Thacher Banking Heads See ‘Frothy’ Market Post Election (1)

Simpson Thacher, a Wall Street law firm known for deals and private equity work, is targeting continued growth in investment banking and the bond side of leveraged finance.

“We have seen plenty of activity, both from an acquisition finance and, frankly, just brand new debut deals and refinancings,” Simpson Thacher’s Dave Azarkh said in an interview. “We need to get the election behind us and have that volatility come off the table and then there should be a frothy—hopefully—pipeline going into 2025,” he said.
