Laura K. Lin is joining Simpson Thacher as a partner in its litigation department in the Palo Alto, Calif., office, the firm said Thursday.
Lin focuses on commercial litigation, including securities and insurance disputes, Simpson Thacher said. She joins from Munger Tolles & Olsen, where she represented LinkedIn Corp., Verizon Communications Inc. and Lucasfilm Ltd., among others, according to court dockets.
New York-founded Simpson Thacher is routinely among Big Law’s top adviers on mergers and acquisitions deals. The firm last year advised on $424 billion in deals, according to Bloomberg data.
