Simpson Thacher Adds IP Partners Caroline Geiger, James Talbot

Caroline Geiger and James Talbot joined Simpson Thacher & Bartlett as partners in its intellectual property and privacy and cybersecurity practice in New York, the firm announced Tuesday.

Geiger advises on the IP and technology aspects of complex mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, and other transactions, the firm said. She negotiates IP and software licensing arrangements, commercial agreements, and development deals.

Talbot focuses on high profile IP transactional matters, including those arising from technology development and licensing, mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, outsourcing of business practices, information security, and privacy projects, the firm said.
