Richard Hanson joined Simpson Thacher & Bartlett as a partner in its securitization and structured products practice in London, the firm announced Thursday.
Hanson advises alternative investment funds, asset managers and insurance companies on complex structured products. He represents borrowers in funding structures backed by commercial real estate debt, direct lending/leveraged loans, distressed debt and other asset classes, the firm said.
He joins from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft.
