Simpson Thacher is advising global insurance brokerage Hub International Limited on its agreement to receive a “substantial minority investment” from funds managed by Los Angeles-based private equity firm Leonard Green & Partners.
Latham & Watkins is advising Leonard Green & Partners on the investment, which is expected to close in the third quarter. Hub’s total current enterprise valuation is around $23 billion, up from $4.4 billion in 2013, when private equity firm Hellman & Friedman bought a controlling stake in the company, according to a statement.
