Sidley Scoops Up M&A, Private Equity Partner From White & Case

Ali Shaikley has joined Sidley Austin as a partner in the global M&A and private equity practice in New York, the firm said Tuesday.

Shaikley, who joins from White & Case, advises companies and investors based in the Middle East on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and equity capital markets transactions, according to Sidley.

He has taken lead on equity capital markets transactions in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the UK as well as advised the issuer of the largest ever initial public offering in Dubai, said the firm.
