Sidley Helps Sixth Street Invest in Retail Tech Company Logile

Feb. 10, 2023, 11:45 AM UTC

Sidley Austin represented Sixth Street Partners’ growth investment unit on its Series A investment in Texas-based retail management technology provider Logile, Inc.

Founded in 2005, Logile says its “all-in-one” platform provides tools for workforce and inventory management, as well as store-level forecasting, scheduling, planning, and cost optimization. It says its tools are deployed by thousands of retail locations around the world.

Purna Mishra, Logile’s founder and CEO, said the company has historically operated as a bootstrapped organization, but it’s now ready to hook up with a partner.

“Teaming up with an organization of Sixth Street’s experience and expertise will allow us to bring Logile’s singular vision of store planning and execution to retailers across the globe,” Mishra said. He said the investment will help Logile accelerate its sales and marketing expansion, grow its team, and fuel development and enhancement of its client solutions.

Sidley said mergers and acquisitions and private equity partner Alex Temel in Boston led its deal team advising Sixth Street. No financial details were disclosed for the transaction.
