Sidley Brings on Pair of Tokyo Energy Partners From Pillsbury

Simon Barrett and Olivia Matsushita joined Sidley Austin as partners in its energy, transportation, and infrastructure practice in Tokyo, the firm announced Tuesday.

Barrett will serve as co-managing partner of the Tokyo office, Sidley said. He advises sponsors, strategic investors, private equity funds, and lenders on complex, high-value, cross-border transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Matsushita’s practice covers cross-border energy and transportation, acquisition finance, project finance, and the financing of movable assets using sophisticated structures. She and Barrett join Sidley from Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman.
