Sidley Brings On M&A, Private Equity Duo in New York From Akin

David D’Urso and Elazar Guttman have joined Sidley’s M&A and private equity practice in New York from Akin Gump, the firm said Monday.

D’Urso, who served as head of the US PE M&A practice at Akin, focuses on structuring and negotiating mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures for the private equity industry, according to Sidley. He has represented private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, financial institutions, and family offices.

Guttman has advised private investors on domestic and cross-border leveraged buyouts, and other complex business transactions, Sidley said.
