Sidley Austin Recruits Bai, Frey as Partners in Silicon Valley

Cynthia Bai and Nicholas Frey have joined Sidley Austin as partners in its Palo Alto, Calif. office, the law firm said Thursday.

Bai joins the global finance group from Cooley, while Frey joins the employee benefits and executive compensation practice from Baker Botts, according to Sidley Austin.

Bai focuses on debt financing transactions involving technology, life science, and healthcare, with an emphasis on venture debt and fund finance, Sidley Austin said.

Frey focuses on executive compensation and benefits, equity plan and award design, M&A and capital markets transaction support, and ERISA matters, according to the law firm.
