Sidley Advises Biomedical Company MiMedx on $150 Million Deal

Sidley Austin recently represented MiMedx Group, Inc., an advanced wound care and therapeutic biologics company, in a deal to raise $150 million in private equity and debt financing.

The Marietta, Georgia-based company said it will use the new financing to invest in research and development, manufacturing, and commercial organizations. The company also plans to pursue growth opportunities for its amniotic tissue products.

Under a securities purchase agreement, MiMedx is issuing $100 million of a newly created series B convertible preferred stock, with $90 million made by an entity controlled by EW Healthcare Partners and $10 million made by Hayfin Capital ...
