Sidley Adds Global Finance Partner Rutkovsky From Ropes & Gray

Steven Rutkovsky has joined Sidley Austin’s global finance group as a partner in New York, the law firm announced Tuesday.

Rutkovsky is making the jump from Ropes & Gray, where he was head of the firm’s opinion practices committee. He focuses on complex leveraged finance and fund finance transactions, representing private equity funds, credit funds, and public and private companies, according to Sidley.

“Steve is a great addition to our team, and he will work closely with our Private Equity team on the financing side of their client’s transactions,” Kevin Blauch, leader of Sidley’s global finance practice, said. “He has frequently worked with our lawyers over the past 20 years and we are excited to have him join our growing team.”
