Maura Rezendes joined Sidley as a partner in its global arbitration, trade and advocacy practice in Washington, DC, the firm announced Wednesday.
Rezendes advises financial institutions and corporate clients on matters implicating economic sanctions administered by the US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control. Her practice includes regulatory compliance advice and counseling, transactional support, investigations and enforcement, as well as agency-facing work before OFAC in connection with licensing, enforcement, regulatory approvals, and other related matters, the firm said.
She joins from A&O Shearman.
