Security Execs Say Internal Mayhem Makes Cyber Attacks Worse

Bureaucratic processes and leadership turf wars cause more damage to companies than do cyber attackers in security incidents, according to an industry survey.

Many companies hit with cyber attacks lack the clear lines of authority needed to navigate data crises, fueling tensions between security executives and business leaders and delaying their emergency responses, according to a report Thursday from Cytactic Cyber Management Ltd., an AI-powered incident response management platform.
