SEC Enforcement Official Jumps to Jones Day’s Atlanta Office

Jones Day hired former Securities and Exchange Commission lawyer Nekia Hackworth as a partner in its investigations and white collar defense practice in Atlanta, the firm announced Wednesday.

Hackworth was the SEC’s deputy director for enforcement in the southeast region. At Jones Day, she will represent clients in white-collar criminal cases and civil litigation and counsel companies on corporate compliance matters, the firm said. She will work with a global team to defend companies and individuals against allegations relating to all areas of white-collar crime.
