SDNY Public Corruption Chief Joins McDermott in New York (1)

McDermott Will & Emery has picked up Edward “Ted” Diskant, former head of a U.S. attorney’s office unit in New York that in recent years investigated Rudy Giuliani, Steve Bannon, and Jeffrey Epstein.

As co-chief of the Southern District of New York’s public corruption unit, a position he left in May, Diskant led a team of around 20 prosecutors in high-profile investigations and prosecutions.

His work included a probe that’s ongoing into Giuliani, the former New York mayor turned President Trump’s personal lawyer, centering on his work tied to Ukraine.
