SCOTUS to Mull Bans on Trans Athletes on Girls’ Teams: The Brief

THE US SUPREME COURT agreed Thursday to weigh if states can ban transgender women and girls from competing on their schools’ female athletic teams, potentially setting the stage for further restrictions on LGBTQ+ rights, Greg Stohr reports.

  • The justices will hear appeals from Idaho and West Virginia, which separate federal appeals courts blocked from fully enforcing their bans.
