Amish Shah joined Ropes & Gray as counsel in its litigation and enforcement practice in Washington, the firm announced Tuesday.
Shah was previously senior associate counsel to President Joe Biden, where he represented the president and the administration on legal matters, the firm said.
He also served as counsel in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s enforcement division and as a senior investigative attorney for the House Oversight Committee.
He will advise clients in the health care, life sciences, financial services, and digital assets/cryptocurrency industries.
