Reed Smith Taps Amazon’s Philippe Heeren as Brussels Partner

Philippe Heeren rejoined Reed Smith as a partner in its global regulatory enforcement group in Brussels, the firm announced Monday.

Heeren advises clients on all matters relating to customs, trade, and excise tax in the European Union and United Kingdom, the firm said. His work includes compliance assessments, purchase and supply contract reviews, managing broker relationships, coordinating voluntary disclosures, administrative appeal proceedings, and representing clients before national courts and the European Court of Justice.

He joins from Amazon, where he was corporate counsel in the EU operations team.
