Scottsdale Indemnity Co. sued Illinois real estate firm Weiss Entities LLC, saying it has no duty to defend or indemnify Weiss in a proposed class action over an alleged data breach.
The insurer argued in a complaint filed July 18 in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois that it isn’t required to cover Weiss under a professional services exclusion and bodily injury and property damage exclusion in its insurance policy.
