Randy Mastro, an influential attorney who worked in former New York Mayor Eric Adams’ administration, is joining Dechert LLP as a partner in the firm’s Manhattan office.
Mastro will serve as co-chair of Dechert’s securities and complex litigation practice, the firm said Thursday. He was a longtime partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and joined King & Spalding before moving to a role in City Hall as first deputy mayor. Mastro recently has represented Madison Square Garden and advised New Jersey in a failed lawsuit over congestion pricing in Manhattan.
