Quinn Emanuel Sues Los Angeles County Over Unpaid Legal Fees (2)

Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan is suing Los Angeles County and its Sheriff’s Department for unpaid legal bills, marking a new twist in a nearly four-year battle.

The county blocked a $280,000 payment “for the first few months of legal services,” which Quinn Emanuel provided to former Sheriff Alex Villanueva, the firm said in a complaint filed Aug. 10 in Los Angeles Superior Court. “Defendants have never paid Quinn Emanuel for any of the legal services provided,” according to the complaint.
