Christopher Michel has joined Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan as a partner and co-chair of the national appellate practice in the Washington, D.C. office, the law firm said Tuesday.
Michel joins from the Justice Department, where he served as assistant to the solicitor general since 2017, Quinn Emmanuel said.
Michel represented the federal government before the Supreme Court, briefed and argued cases, and created appellate strategies, according to the firm. He worked at law firms Kirkland & Ellis and Bancroft PLLC before jumping to DOJ.
