A trio of law firms have taken lead roles in Quikrete Holdings Inc.’s $11.5 billion acquisition of Summit Materials Inc. in what is being heralded as the potential return of big-ticket buyouts.
Davis Polk & Wardwell advised Summit Materials on its sale, while Covington & Burling and Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders represented the privately held building-material company Quikete on the deal, which is expected to close in the first half of 2025. A $9.2 billion debt package is helping finance its purchase and is one of the largest since 2022.
