Paul Hastings also advised STG. No financial terms were disclosed for the deal.
There’s been fragmentation available health data, but combining Press Ganey’s and SPH’s information will allow Press Ganey to provide more complete insights at national, regional, and local levels, according to a statement.
Patrick T. Ryan, chairman and CEO, of South Bend, Ind.-based Press Ganey, said that with the health industry shifting to value-based care driven by outcomes, it’s important for both payers and providers to understand the entire picture for patient experience.
“With the acquisition of SPH, we become the only organization that can provide insights at every touchpoint across the entire health care journey,” Ryan said.“The challenge in driving wholesale change in health care is that organizations have data about only a fragment of the journey, and by combining it, we’ll be able to remedy that challenge.”
