Pryor Cashman’s managing partner since 2007 Ronald Shechtman will step down in February to make way for a new generation of leadership.
Litigation partner David Rose, who joined the New York-based Am Law 200 firm as an associate in 1997, will step into the top role. Shechtman will serve as co-chairman and co-general counsel and continue to serve on the executive committee.
“At a time when many firms are exploring mergers and consolidation, David embraces our commitment to independence,” Shechtman said in a statement Tuesday. “He understands the values that underpin our historically high staff and attorney retention rates.”
