Proskauer has hired Sheppard Mullin’s megers and acquisitions team leader, Will Chuchawat, for its M&A practice in Los Angeles.
Chuchawat focuses on private equity, particularly leveraged buyouts, growth, and venture capital transactions, according to a Proskauer statement. His clients have included Samsung, Northrop Grumman, U.S. Bank, Aerojet, Expedia.com, and Mercury Systems, according to his Sheppard Mullin bio.
“He is a deal-doer, with great energy and drive,” Proskauer Chairman Steven M. Ellis said of Chuchawat in a statement. “Clients have a huge respect for his expertise and relentless commitment to their matters.”
Ellis said the firm plans to continue to expand its Los Angeles office, which focuses on technology, media, sports, asset management, life sciences, and health.
Chuchawat joined Sheppard Mullin after law school in 2004. He is the co-founder of Vivotein, a company that develops sustainable protein and soil amendments from food waste and larvae.
