Philip Morris International Inc. has promoted Yann Guérin to general counsel following the departure of former legal chief Suzanne Rich Folsom.
Guérin has spent nearly the past 18 years at PMI, where he worked in various legal and compliance roles. He was most recently the company’s associate general counsel for corporate, a position that PMI said saw him serve as lead counsel on the company’s $16 billion acquisition of Swedish Match AB.
