A national organization representing community associations should have to wait for final rules on implementing the Corporate Transparency Act before continuing its challenge to the law, the US Treasury Department told a federal appeals court.
Community Associations Institute and several of its members appealed after a lower court denied their request for a preliminary injunction in October, rejecting their claim that the law is unconstitutional because its disclosure requirements for state-law entities impede on states’ reserved powers.
