Paul Weiss Lures Executive Comp Partner from Simpson Thacher

Linda Barrett joined Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison as a partner in its executive compensation department in New York, the firm announced Monday.

Barrett advises private equity funds and public companies on executive compensation aspects of corporate transactions and ERISA matters that arise in mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, take-privates, sales, spin-offs, and initial public offerings. She designs and implements compensation and benefit programs, including negotiating executive employment and separation arrangements for both companies and executives, the firm said.

She was previously a partner at Simpson Thacher.
