Paul Weiss Lands $4.2 Million Treasury Contract After OCC Hack

The Treasury Department turned to Paul Weiss, a prominent law firm with deep ties to banks, to respond to a recent cyber attack at one of its bureaus.

The firm’s lawyers provided “urgent cybersecurity assessment services” for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency over the last month, public records show. Paul Weiss secured a $4.2 million contract with the agency in July and wrapped up work last week. The specific tasks performed by the firm are not clear.

An OCC spokesperson declined to comment. Paul Weiss did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
