Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison has hired Nickolas Bogdanovich as a partner in its mergers and acquisitions practice.
Bogdanovich was previously a lawyer at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, where he made partner early this year. He was an associate at the firm for more than eight years.
His recent deals include guiding Google in its acquisition of Raxium and Fitbit, and TPG on its sale of Astound Broadband. He also steered Warburg Pincus on investments in several portfolio companies.
“Nick is a superstar young M&A partner who has worked closely with us and with our clients for years,” said Scott A. Barshay, chair of the Paul Weiss corporate department. “We are thrilled to welcome him to Paul, Weiss.”
Paul Weiss has bulked its corporate practice under Barshay. In May, the firm hired Jim Langston, also from Cleary. The firm has also invested in other partners, including its hire of Chelsea Darnell, who moved from Kirkland & Ellis.
