Paul Weiss Hires Gibson Dunn Trial Lawyer to Expand in Houston

Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison has hired trial lawyer Andrea E. Smith from Gibson Dunn as a partner in its Houston office’s litigation department, the firm announced Wednesday.

Smith, formerly co-chair of Gibson Dunn’s transnational litigation practice group, has represented clients including Chevron Corp., Dole Food Co., and Lockheed Martin Corp., according to Paul Weiss. She represented Chevron in more than 30 climate change actions and defended Dole in litigation alleging harm from exposure to synthetic pesticides.
