Paul Weiss advised Apollo Global Management Inc. on the closing of its second dedicated infrastructure fund, which raised around $2.54 billion in commitments.
The Apollo Infrastructure Opportunities Fund II LP invests in assets mainly in communications, power and transportation, with a focus on environmental, social and corporate governance, according to a statement.
Fund investments to date include Broad Reach Power, an energy storage and renewable energy platform; U.S. Wind, a utility-scale offshore wind platform off the coast of Maryland; and FirstDigital Telecom, a fiber-based carrier in the western U.S.
The second fund’s closing is “a great milestone for our infrastructure business as we look to become the leading global mid-market manager for high quality infrastructure assets,” said Dylan Foo, the firm’s co-head of infrastructure.
