Paul Weiss Brings on Kirkland Funds Partner in Los Angeles Build

Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison is picking up Kirkland & Ellis funds partner Steve Yoo as it looks to expand its Los Angeles office.

Yoo focuses on the structuring, formation and operation of private investment funds and counsels fund sponsors on all facets of their business. Yoo joined Kirkland in 2013 from Cooley and will join Paul Weiss as a partner in its investment funds group, the firm said Wednesday. Over the course of his career, he has worked with the likes of Aurora Capital Partners, Clearlake Capital, Diversis Capital, Lovell Minnick Partners, HGGC, and K1 Investment Management.
